Grassroots efforts can be a key step in expanding community-learning and educational opportunities at the intersection of social justice, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, local experience and knowledge are crucial determinants of successful community education efforts to these ends. In many places, however, such experience and knowledge can exist without the necessary frameworks - for example, financial and organizational - that support putting this knowledge to work achieving beneficial educational outcomes.

Fostering Frameworks therefore takes a multifold approach to enable strong, locally-focused educational initiatives:

• We directly engage local leaders with ideas for community education at the intersection of social justice, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability

• We identify gaps in converting educational knowledge to practice and co-develop the necessary frameworks and structures to aid this operationalization

• We provide support for initial seed funding of these educational initiatives and longer-term planning to mobilize a diversity of resources for continued self-actualization and sustainability .
